We are looking for a full-time (40 hours)
Maintenance Person to work within one of our nursing care homes located in
Kentish Town, North London.


As the Maintenance Person, you will positively promote excellent health and safety standards within and around the home, supporting the home manager to maintain a safe environment for residents in our care.


Duties:


  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the Care Home and surrounding grounds;
  • Assure the smooth operation and serviceability of all services such as heating, lighting and plumbing, along with the various equipment required for the safe and efficient operation of the Home.
  • Work positively with the Home Manager and the head office property team to achieve outcomes for longerterm tasks such as refurbishment, nondaytoday servicing, redecoration etc.
  • Undertake routine health and safety checks whilst keeping the relevant documentation up to date and accurate.
  • Actively monitor the risks associated with the property and equipment of the home, with full transparency of any issues raised to the home manager accordingly.
  • Provide emergency oncall support during weekdays and weekends.

Required Skills:


  • A genuine interest in maintaining and continuously improving the home, so that the residents feel safe, secure and proud of where they live.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised
  • Decorating, basic fault finding and repairs.
  • A background in property maintenance and while not essential, past experience in a care setting is desirable
