Our client, Baylis, have an exciting and unique opportunity for the next rising aftersales management star.

Baylis are looking for an exceptional individual to work across the group, rising to the challenge of training to be a manager whilst studying for a Chartered Management Apprenticeship Degree, level 6.


Baylis are a motor retailer with 9 dealerships and 2 accident repair centres based in Gloucester, operating across 3 counties and South Wales.

Each dealership also has an operational aftersales department to provide servicing, MOT and repairs, together with parts and warranty work.


The degree is a three-year study programme to complete levels 4, 5 and 6 of a Chartered Management Degree via the University of Gloucester.

It is made up of on-the-job learning mentored by a senior manager and workplace coach, and university day release and course work supported by a university mentor.

The degree is fully funded.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicating with, and building lasting relationships with clients, customers, suppliers and team members
  • Identify areas for improvement, developing business strategies to target these areas and implementing them effectively
  • Work closely with managers and supervisors to gain knowledge about the management process
  • Take part in any training and skill development activities offered to you
  • Contributing to meetings, taking comprehensive notes and preparing reports and presentations
  • Familiarise yourself with and gain good knowledge of the Company rules, policies and procedures

Person Specification

  • Hold a Level 5 GSCE in English and Math's
  • Hold a GCSE Science (Preferable but not essential)
  • Hold a full driving license
  • Have a minimum of 3 years customer facing experience
  • Have problem solving ability
  • Be able to think strategically
  • Be able to display Baylis' values
  • Be able to commit to studying for 3 years
