Description

We have an opportunity for a Customer Service Apprentice incorporating Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 standards in our Organisational Development Department (ODD) at Sheffield Teaching Foundation Trusts.


We are looking for an engaging and personable individual to work within the team as part of the Projects and Programmes Team within ODD, providing a variety of administration and clerical support.

This is a fixed term role for the duration of the apprenticeship and the assessment period.

You will receive full training via the Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship and must be committed to the training and willing to learn new skills.

There is an expectation that Apprentices will work across the wider ODD team to ensure you are able to attain the required level of units to achieve the intermediate Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship (Level 2).

Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and other departments.

Ensure that processes are conducted in accordance with documented procedures, protocols and schedules and deadlines.

Safe use of office equipment e.g. printer, photocopier, scanner.

Resolve routine queries and enquiries from employees and managers.

Respond to telephone enquiries in a professional and pleasant manner, providing information and directing queries as appropriate.

Arrange / schedule meetings.

Arranging venues.

Attend meetings, workshops and events as required, assisting with the preparation, set up and smooth running of the event.

Create and design posters and flyers for a variety of events.

Updating Microsoft Office software e.g. Excel spreadsheets.

Electronic diary management.

Business administration support e.g. filing, document control, documents scanning/copying.


Support the Project Support Officer's and Administrative team with the co-ordination and completion of general day to day functions within the department.

Requisitioning.

Ensure any faulty / broken equipment is reported in a timely manner and any appropriate documentation is completed.

Prioritise own workload, ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.

Undertake any other reasonable general/clerical duties which may arise in this role.

Throughout the training period the post holder will be expected to complete all educational and training as required.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 15 months due to this being an apprenticeship/training programme.

The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts.
