£34,562 - £36,556 (dependent on skills and experience)

You will help us ensure that our research is ethically responsible and delivered in accordance with our values. You will help us build and maintain partnerships built on the highest possible integrity.

You are efficient, agile and organised and will coordinate and complete due diligence checks on third party research partners, while collating responses to external requests for due diligence and research ethics assessments.


You will be an excellent communicator as you'll liaise internally with all parties at all levels and externally with parties within the UK and internationally.

In this role you'll also provide secretarial support to the Research Ethics Committee.

Main Responsibilities

  • To undertake risk based due diligence covering financial governance, operational and reputation issues and support/coordinate the Research Ethics Committee.

Due Diligence:

  • Coordinate and undertake due diligence checks on third party research organisations
  • Act as a main point of contact, responding to internal and external queries regarding due diligence
  • Assist with the completion of due diligence requests and checks by external parties
  • Liaise with our Procurement team, supporting with supplier due diligence
  • Provide upwards reporting to Directors or the board as required and support QA/auditing requirements
  • Maintain document storage, archiving systems and uptodate due diligence processes and policy documentation

Research Ethics:

  • Secretarial support to the chair and members of the research ethics committee
  • Administration of the budget
  • Acting as the main point of contact, responding to internal queries
  • Maintaining the document storage and archiving systems
  • Liaising with the relevant director and quality assurance manager in the event of any reported misconduct, complaints, events or incidences
Here are some essential skills we are looking for:

  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Confident in handling confidential information and working to specific data security guidelines
  • Extracting taskrelevant information using translation tool/software
We would be delighted if you also had the following skills/experience:

  • Previous experience in due diligence and/or funding assurance checks
  • Working with HEI/science research type organisations
  • Accounting or financial experience and/or legal or contractual experience
  • Knowledge/experience using Workday
