What is a Volunteer Events Supporter?


The care we provide is free for families, but services cost £5.7 million to run every year with only 17% of funding we need coming from the government.

The rest is raised by our Fundraising Team through various channels, one being events which are held local to our Hospice.

Our team of event volunteers love what they do No two events are the same and there are a number of roles where are team need an extra pair of hands.

Experience in working within events is not essential, it's more important to us that you are keen to make a difference and enjoy working as part of a team.

Whats involved?

  • Parking marshals
  • Entrance marshals
  • Help set up stalls
  • Support with the selling / serving of refreshments
  • Assist with setting up and derig of events

This role will suit people who are
Friendly and helpful, love chatting to others and making people feel special. You will be someone who enjoys meeting new people and who can follow instructions from the event organiser.
