About the role

  • We have an exciting opportunity to join our Packaging Division as a Commercial Finance Business Partner, coordinating and supporting the commercial planning process and commercial excellence within our Northern Europe region. This is a key role within the cluster that will contribute to the ongoing commercial development of the business.
  • As our Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be providing support and challenging the norm through analysis and insight, to influence commercial decisions. You will need to understand, challenge and communicate to the business on areas where we can create value and improve performance, providing insight on key drivers around volume, revenue and margin performance, driving action throughout the function.
  • We want you to manage the commercial planning process, collaborating with other business partners to develop consistent demand forecasts that identify new business opportunities, volume growth opportunities and customer risks, helping to develop the S&OP process. You will work closely with other business partners to deliver a Commercial Excellence programme that provides the business with the tools required to develop greater insight into product and customer profitability and drive value. You will also champion the drive to reduce working capital, develop the governance structure for pricing analysis and trackers, and coordinate our tender activity across the cluster.

  • We can offer remote working with this position, with occasional travel required to our Packaging sites across Northern Europe.
  • About you
  • Educated to degree level, with an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • At least five years of postqualified experience in relevant positions
  • Experience working in a fastpaced manufacturing, retail or FMCG environment
  • Experience with S&OP operation and implementation, tender management, commercial contracts, and SLAs
  • Highly commercial and influential, with proven business partnering and leadership skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel), able to interpret large amounts of financial data and draw meaningful business recommendations
