We are proud to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a truly innovative, small business who have enjoyed exponential growth in Bristol.

With the business about to expand into different revenue streams, this is an exciting time for a Management Accountantto become an integral part of the head office function in Bristol.

This role will involve assisting the Financial Controller with the monthly management accounting (with some analysis) as well as the creation of improved operational and commercial processes.


The role includes:

  • Delivering a robust and efficient monthend close process, including the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, posting of accruals & prepayments and ensuring the accuracy, completeness and appropriate cutoff of the financial data
  • Preparing P&L and balance sheet reports (and reconciliations) for the parent company and each of its subsidiaries
  • Producing consolidated management accounts for the business with supporting variance analysis and value adding, insightful narrative
  • Leading the yearend process and being the principal point of contact with the external accountants and auditors
  • A weekly dashboard to track KPI's
  • Weekly/monthly performance data metrics for individual teams and offices
  • Trend analysis on cost base
  • Annual budgeting/forecasting model creation
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Revenue Accounting
We are looking for someone capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where things are constantly evolving. We need someone who has the ability to challenge the status quo and influence key senior stakeholders. You will be well supported butalso you will need to be confident working autonomously.

  • Experience in preparing monthly management accounts
  • Experience in consolidation and intercompany adjustments
  • Multiple currency experience is desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience with cashflow forecasting
  • Excellent analytical skills, including trend identification and explaining financial issues to nonfinance
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Someone with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
