Job Summary

Would you like to join us in supporting Young People effected by drug and alcohol issues to improve their health and wellbeing?

The Role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Practitioner to work within the Young Person's Service,


WDP:
The Edge in West Berkshire. The post is predominantly based in Newbury, but some travel across the County will be required.


This exciting and rewarding role will provide you with significant scope for growth and innovation within the Young Person's element of an over-arching County-wide Integrated Substance Misuse Service.


The main purpose of this role is:

  • To deliver age-appropriate excellent drug and alcohol services to young people and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, facilitating positive outcomes.
  • Deliver early intervention and prevention work, in a variety of youth settings to prevent young people from engaging in substance misusing and risktaking behaviours and enable young people to develop boundaries, emotional resilience and selfesteem.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all WDP policies and Safeguarding principles.
The core hours of this role will be Monday

  • Friday 9am until 5pm, but there may be some occasional out of hours work which would be considered on a rota basis
