Have you ever thought of becoming a midday supervisor?


We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lunch Time Supervisor to join our team at a primary school located in Bishop Auckland.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young learners and contribute to their overall well-being.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Encourage positive behavior and promote a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Support students in maintaining good manners, healthy eating habits, and appropriate social interactions.
  • Set up and organise the lunch area
  • Engage and interact with students, fostering positive relationships and providing guidance when needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all students.
  • Maintain accurate records, such as attendance and incidents, and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and relate to students of different ages and backgrounds.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from senior staff members.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and safeguarding procedures is desirable.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules within the school.

Working Hours:
This is a part-time position 5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 12-1

Term time only

You must have an in date, Enhanced Child Workforce DBS for this position.(we can help you process one if needed)
