Maintenance Person/Handy Man

Smart Recruit Group are looking for a confident and experienced maintenance Person to join our friendly team in Durham, working within a care home environment.

The role involves carrying out maintenance & repair services in our clients properties.

Liaising with the office team daily to ensure that all jobs have been completed and logged on our in-house system.

As part of the maintenance team your duties will be varied and could include anything from gardening, waste removal, basic plumbing, painting, basic electrical work, clearing guttering and general maintenance in a range of supported accommodation.

Key skills:
Previous experience in a similar role

Building maintenance skills - painting, decorating, joinery, plumbing and electricals.

Competent in carrying out lone working and in a team. Comfortable working with vulnerable people and families.

Carry out works in an efficient and safe manner.

Ability to work to deadlines.

Good organisational skills.

Work well as part of a team and alone.

Must have a driving licence and own transport (required)

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Salary:
£11.82-£23.00 per hour
