Concept Resourcing are delighted to be working with a new client within the Cambridge region who require a Procurement Manager to join the team and oversee the purchasing function.

Due to several new contracts and on going projects, you will need to be experienced with import/export procedures, have experience within professional services - predominantly fleet services as this will be a main part of the role as well as havinghands on experience of training and mentoring teams and encouraging development.

In a perfect world, you will hold or be working towards a CIPS qualification. However, this isn't a deal breaker if you attain previously mentioned experience instead as the company are open to funding this qualification in future.

  • Overseeing the procurement function including both direct and indirect purchasing as well as taking lead of the fleet management category.
  • Managing a small procurement team of mixed abilities to ensure training and development
  • Creating and enhancing supplier relationships to ensure best contractual agreements and service deliveries
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO regulations
  • Conducting end to end procurement's including complex negotiations and contract management
  • Regularly producing reports including spend analysis and market trends to ensure at the forefront of market changes
  • Conducting regular 11's and regular monitoring of KPI's to ensure team are on track
  • Heavy involvement with importing and exporting of goods ensuring regulations and legislation's are adhered too this is crucial
  • Involvement with multiple ongoing projects
  • Stock management
  • Experience of working within a procurement setting
  • Experience of either managing a small team OR overseeing and mentoring junior staff with the passion to manage
  • Excellent and confident communicator both verbal and written with the ability to liaise with senior level stakeholders and present back information.
  • Experience of working within fleet management/retail procurement or understanding of this field would be advantageous
  • Must have experience of importing and exporting including knowledge of required documents and regulations
  • Highly organised able to manage multiple tasks effectively whilst delegating duties to staff
  • CIPS/MCIPS qualified, actively studying or happy to undertake study support offered by the business

Due to the nature of this position, this role will be office based only 5 days a week, Mon-Friday 8:30am-5pm and will be available for hybrid working after the first 6 months. Therefore, please ensure you are happy commute to CB9 area.
**Salary - £48,500 - £50,000 + benefits.
