Salary from £32,960 to £37,705 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £40,432 pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed term or secondment appointment until 30 April 2024

The Events and Engagement Officer is responsible for organising events and coordinating a range of student, graduate and alumni engagement activities within LSE Careers.


You'll coordinate key aspects of event planning and management across our various programmes, for both in person and online events.

The post-holder will work closely with colleagues across the team to understand individual and team requirements and provide a wide range of administrative and operational support in the planning, delivery and review of events and programmes, including but not limited to organising timelines, venues/systems, suppliers, health and safety, staffing and budgets.


The post-holder will be a champion for student partnership; facilitating regular and meaningful engagement with students and giving them opportunities to influence and shape our work.

This will include supporting and coordinating our student advisory group (SAG), the use and enaction of student views and feedback and developing our collaborative work with LSE Students' Union (LSESU) student groups.


  • Experience of working in an events or engagement focused role
  • Experience of coordinating projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and convey specialist information in a clear, concise and accurate manner to and for a wide range of people
  • Ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Evidence of having helped to design and implement processes, systems and policies.
LSE is a campus-based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. Most staff balance working from the campus or remotely.
