Derian House Children's Hospice, we have an exciting opportunity available for a
Head of People & Culture to join our team based in
Chorley.

You will join us on a
full time permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week (30 hours/4 days will also be considered), and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£38,989-£42,083 pa FTE dependent on experience and qualification.

About the
Head of People & Culture role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Senior Management Team as a
Head of People and Culture, based at our Hospice in Chorley.

The post holder will be responsible for leading transformation across the charity and embedding and building our culture. You will champion our values and develop excellent employee relations.


Your responsibilities as our Head of People & Culture
will include:

  • Delivering on a variety of strategic initiatives such as succession planning, career development, and employee engagement through a robust people & Culture strategy
  • Coaching and guiding Managers, driving high performance across the charity
  • Embedding a culture of learning and development
  • Ensure a firstclass efficient business support function through the administration team
  • To assist the CEO and the senior management team to improve the performance across the Charity through our people.

What we're looking for in our Head of People & Culture:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification
  • Proven ability to lead/supervise, with the ability to motivate others, as appropriate.
  • Proven ability of developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining HR policies, procedures and practices, including recruitment and selection
  • Proven ability of producing supporting documentation and guidance on all HR policies, procedures and practices.
  • Proven ability of an indepth knowledge of employment law
