WHO IS IGS?

Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS) is a fast-growing innovative Agritech OEM changing how the world does farming.

Their leading edge indoor vertical farming towers allow IGS to control the weather and grow a range of plants, crops, fruit and herbs simultaneously at optimum conditions anywhere in the world.


Employing over 200 staff between sites in Edinburgh, outside Dundee and Inverkeithing in Fife, we are starting to sell vertical farming towers globally.

We have successfully run an intern programme across multiple functions for a few years and this year is no different


THE OPPORTUNITY
The Marketing Team. This is a mixed team of professional specialists who have different experiences with some specialist skillsets. Most of the team is based in our global headquarters in Edinburgh, with some remote roles. We also have a marketing presence in North America.


This role will aid the Global Events Manager and brand/demand teams in delivering a world class presence at events, activations, launches, conferences, and tradeshows across the globe.

The IGS experience is like no other, but we need to always be setting a higher standard for those leads, suppliers, prospects and the public that take the IGS experience at events.


The main aim of this role is to build out a streamlined, efficient event marketing playbook for our walk-the-floor, brand, ESG and community events from start to finish.

The playbook is a key part to our event marketing from pre-event, live and post-event processes which takes into consideration promotion, presence on our stand and follow up post event.

You will gain experience on some of our events, working closely with the sales, branding and demand generation teams across the business to gain insight as to how we deliver the experience.


An essential part of the playbook will be building research and templates around our social promotion from drafting banks of copy, creating templates for all our social channels to creating on the day content for YouTube, Instagram etc.

The more creative, the better


This knowledge can then be taken and implemented into a playbook that will outline the entire process, identifying possible opportunities in our event marketing and building out that process in a well-documented, sustainable, and repeatable format that delivers commercial leads to our sales team and represents the IGS brand.


At the end of the internship, it is expected to deliver your findings in a presentation to our sales and marketing teams, the playbook will then be actively implemented into our event strategy.


This role will require travel within the UK/Europe for a small portion of it, and possible travel to the United States, travel will be provided by IGS.

The aim of this is to provide a more in-depth experience to our events and what they bring to IGS's overall sales cycle and brand building.

  • Over the 10 weeks you will be helping IGS to build a more efficient event strategy by creating an easy to follow, detailed and repeatable process that will save us time and money and create capacity to support a stronger brand presence across the globe

  • Real world knowledge in problem solving and thinking on your feet
