Description

Exciting new opportunity for an experienced Freight Project to work for an established Freight Forwarder in the live events sector.

Role will involve shipping equipment globally for the live entertainment industry, specifically Band tours, Theatre, Film, TV and Sport.

Duties:

Liaise with airlines, ocean lines and hauliers to obtain best possible rates and secure the booking
Communicate effectively with agents worldwide and offer pricing, schedules, prealerts and invoicing
Offer a full customer service package to clients including quoting on tours/events
Entering quotes onto Boxtop and taking an active approach to customers to see if they wish to proceed
Converting quotes into live projects on Boxtop
Charter broker to airlines
Proactively update Boxtop with related job costs without delay so that billing can be actioned
Ensure ATA Carnets are prepared on time and escalate if there is an issue
Handle all aspects of customs clearance, including carnet runs and monitoring with the carriers
Monitor shipments (post flight, delivery status, driver information, arrivals and clearance)
Proactive communication with the client updating them on their shipments
Prepare shipment documents such as AWB, customs entries and BOLs
Attend site to oversee loads and provide support where needed
Escalate to Senior Management with updates on tours and jobs
Update the warehouse team with details of any expected warehousing requirements, collections, deliveries, freight builds.
Ensure all tours are fully completed
Take a handson approach to support the full team
Proactively guide, train, mentor and support the operations and warehouse team

Must have very strong knowledge and understanding of multi-modal freight shipments.
**Some previous experience of managing staff would be preferred and our client is able to offer excellent prospects for career progression.
