McCarthy Stone has a fantastic opportunity for anAccounts Assistant to join their
Cash Finance Team.
This position would ideally suit someone who has already had transactional cash experience and is looking to take the next step.
Hours:
Full time, 37 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 - 17:00 on Friday with 1 hour lunch break every day.
Salary:

The purpose of the role:
To accurately record cash transactions, posting both debit and credit entries accordingly within the Corporate and Development accounts, whilst assisting and supporting the Cash Team Leader with meeting tight reconciliation deadlines, investigating and reducing any unreconciled items, liaising internally and externally with audit queries, and general accounts assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconciling corporate and Resale bank accounts.
- Reconciling development bank accounts in line with ARMA regulations.
- Process AUDDIS runs.
- Investigate and clear down unreconciled bank reconciliation items.
- Action refunds.
- Transfer GR monies accordingly to Group.
- Calculating EPC & ECL figures and collecting monies accordingly from Divisions.
- Approve low level bank payments.
- Answer both corporate and development audit queries, promptly and accurately.
- Resolve queries in a timely manner.
- Work alongside other members of the team on a daily basis, as needs arise.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks at the direction of the Cash Team Leader.
- Always fully complies with McCarthy and Stone's policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone who:
- AAT2 qualified would be preferable or qualified by previous experience.
- Transactional cash experience essential.
- Good to advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Industry related experience advantageous (especially if used Qube).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to multitask and works well under pressure.
- A strong team player
- Resilient with a 'can do' attitude.
- Focuses on the task in hand.
