We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team at H&MV Engineering as a Data Centre Commissioning Lead (Cx).

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the commissioning activities for data centre projects, ensuring successful implementation, functional performance, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules, coordinating with project stakeholders and subcontractors to establish specific project requirements and expectations.
Oversee the execution of equipment and system prefunctional checks, installation verification, and functional performance testing.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to review plans, specifications, and submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.
Supervise and provide technical guidance to commissioning engineers and technicians, ensuring their work meets highquality standards and project timelines.
Conduct regular commissioning progress meetings with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to communicate status updates, resolve issues, and address any concerns or challenges.
Review and validate commissioning documentation, including test reports, operation and maintenance manuals, and record drawings.
Liaise with clients and endusers throughout the commissioning process, ensuring their requirements are met, and providing necessary training and support.
Identify and troubleshoot issues or nonconformities during the commissioning process, implementing effective corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies related to data centre commissioning, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in data centre commissioning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Expert knowledge of data centre systems, including electrical (low voltage and medium voltage), mechanical, fire suppression, and control systems.
Strong understanding of commissioning practices and industry standards, such as ASHRAE, TIA942, and Uptime Institute.
Proven experience in managing and leading commissioning teams, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff effectively.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to organise, prioritise, and multitask effectively to meet project deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and findings to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Proficient in using commissioning software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the UK and occasionally abroad.
Strong attention to detail, problemsolving abilities, and a commitment to delivering projects to the highest standards.
