You will assist with the clearing and cleaning of all main kitchen production areas, and provide a supporting role in the provision of staff and patient meals within all food service areas including on the wards, dining rooms and satellite venues.
You will also act at all times in a manner that upholds the Trust's values, working as part of a team to ensure efficiency and excellent customer care.
This is a challenging but rewarding job role and there's no doubt that will need motivated, enthusiastic team players, who are willing to work hard within a strong team, to provide a KEY service within the hospital for both staff and patients.

- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure an accurate exchange of information about cleaning tasks and service needs
- Communicate with a range of customers in person and over the telephone to understand individual needs and provide information relating to the catering service.
- Appropriate communication with colleagues within our service areas, promote team working and shared goals
- Supporting the serving of food in restaurants and for patients on meal assembly belts, on wards and other patient dining rooms. This to be carried out in a timely manner.
- Delivery of patient meal trollies to ward areas in a timely manner and meeting strict time deadlines
- Undertake all work allocated by hygiene supervisor.
- Meet all required deadlines.
- Ensure facilities and equipment are cleaned to a satisfaction level at all times and meet departmental standards.
- Cleaning either manually or using equipment any area or equipment used as part of the catering operation.
- Washing of crockery, cutlery and any utensils used as part of the catering service using dishwashing machines.
- Disposal of all waste including food waste following department and Trust guidelines.
- Compliance with all organisational and departmental procedures relating to and security
- Report any defective equipment or health and safety hazards.
- Undertakes any training deemed necessary by the Trust or catering management team.
