Embedded Software Engineer

£40K to £65K + package

Gloucester

Exciting growth with an international electronics manufacturing business supported by massive investment makes this a unique opportunity. This business already invests 40% to 50%+ of profits in to R&D.

They manufacture life saving products, have a global customer base and are leaders in their field.


You will work in a team to develop the next generation products using C and C++ and collaborate across a range of development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specify, write, test, modify and document software for next generation products.
  • Understand design requirements.
  • Collaborate on the architecture of embedded software projects.
  • Have an interest in new technologies and deliver creative and scalable solutions.
  • Monitor the progress of work, identify bottlenecks and solve problems.
  • Great if you have experience of writing engineering tools in Windows, C#/.NET etc but not essential.
Experiences/Qualifications;

  • Experience in writing C/C++ code for microcontrollers (including hardware drivers). Ideally in design and manufacture of technical products.
  • Ability to work handson with prototype hardware.
  • Experience using software development tools e.g. IDEs, ALM Tools etc.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Selfmotivated and confident.
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Well organised.
  • Able to deliver solutions.
  • Able to work in teams.
  • Qualified to degree level or have relevant experience.
