Tours & Exhibition Team Leader.


Location:
Belfast, City Hall.

Hours of Work: 08:30 - 17:00.


Your Duties:

  • Responsible for supervising frontofhouse operations, including parttime and casual staff.
  • Provide receptionist, concierge, and visitor guide services for all users of the City Hall exhibition area.
  • Manage retail area operations, including bookings, ticketing, refunds, and deposits.
  • Maintain highquality image of the council through professionalism and customer care.
  • Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties:
  • Plan and supervise part-time and casual staff.
  • Provide professional customer care and concierge services.
  • Handle cash, card payments, and reconciliation.
  • Manage exhibition headsets and supplies.
  • Maintain exhibition area functionality and presentation.
  • Maximise customer spend through merchandise promotion.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and emergency procedures.

Your Profile:

Essential:

  • Supervising a small team of staff, including workload planning and task assignment.
  • Providing customer service support in a visitor attraction, handling local and international visitors, including difficult customers, both inperson and over the telephone.
  • Working in a visitor attraction involved in ticketing, cash handling, reconciliation, merchandising sales, providing visitor information, handling queries, and managing group bookings.
  • Utilising standard office IT systems and specialised EPOS/booking systems.
  • At least one year's experience in supervising staff, customer service, ticketing, and IT systems.
  • Effective communication and customer care skills.
  • Organisational and teamworking abilities.
  • Competence in basic Microsoft Office packages and booking systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
  • Two years of experience in relevant areas and five GCSEs including English.

Special Skills and Attributes:

  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with diverse audiences, including members of the public and internal and external customers.
  • Customer Care Skills: Proficient in presentation and adept at managing interactions with diverse customers, including nonnative English speakers, to uphold and enhance the reputation of Belfast City Council.

Your Benefits:
