**Interim HR Advisor

Our client, a well-respected NHS organisation in South Devon, is looking for a HR Advisor to come on board on a temporary basis for an initial 3 month contract that is likely to be extended to support the transformation of the HR service and developmentof their HR Hub by providing specialist advice to managers on employee relations matters including under performance, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance cases.


Location:
South Devon (Hybrid Remote)


Hours:37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)


Length of Contract: 3 Months +


Hourly Rate:
£20.46 -£22.70 via Umbrella

Day to Day Duties:


  • Provide specialist advice and support to line managers on the management of attendance including;
  • Advice and guidance to Managers on all aspects of attendance management in accordance with Trust policy and employment legislation
  • Support for line managers to conduct attendance reviews including final stage, as appropriate. Advice on referrals to and reports received from Occupational Health
  • Consideration and advice on redeployment, illhealth retirement or termination of employment whilst being mindful of employment legislation and Trust policy
Monitoring monthly attendance reports to highlight hotspot areas and provide tailored support in to managers in these areas

  • Provide specialist advice regarding recruitment and selection to promote the recruitment of a highly motivated workforce in line with the Trust values, policy and employment legislation, including:
  • Sit on interview panels, where appropriate, to ensure a fair, thorough and transparent process is followed
  • Provide advice on the preparation of job descriptions and person specifications
  • Provide advice on appropriate, tailored selection and assessment techniques
  • Provide specialist advice and support to managers throughout the Disciplinary Process including:
  • Advise and support managers throughout the investigatory stage, supporting managers in investigatory interviews, as appropriate

Essential Skills:


  • Degree or equivalent level of ability gained through vocational experience
  • Knowledge of specialist HR topics to postgraduate diploma level acquired through degree and professional HR qualification or equivalent level of training experience
  • Excellent communication skills able to communicate sensitive and complex issues to managers and staff
