Tempting Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a

local authority in the

North West London region, to recruit experienced

SQL Database Administrator. If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,


Contract: 6 months (Possible Extension)

Salary:
£400 a day (Umbrella)

Start Date:
ASAP

Shift Pattern: 36 hours per week /Monday - Friday / 9:00am - 5:00pm

DUTIES

  • Manage and maintain the SQL databases for Production and Test environments.
  • Proactively monitor database performance, undertake appropriate tuning.
  • Provide day to day BAU support, being the technical lead for all SQL database related issues.
  • Investigate, identify and diagnose areas of poor performance and implement relevant solutions to ensure ongoing optimal configuration and performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 2 years' experience working within a SQL Database role or equivalent.
  • In depth knowledge of ITIL service management.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and other RDBMS and associated products.
  • Knowledge of a complex IT support service within a large complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Oracle 19C (and above) and Solaris.
