A fantastic opportunity for a Clinician has arisen within our Early Help service

As part of the Early Help response to children and young people's mental health, our Clinician role will deliver therapeutic interventions to those whose needs don't meet the thresholds currently in place to access CAMHS services.

In addition to the direct delivery, there'll be a requirement to offer consultation and advice to professionals within children's services, who are working with children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.

As our Clinician, you'll be able to work systemically with individuals, couples, and families, considering the highly complex factors affecting the client's or family's situation.

You'll be skilled in undertaking assessments of therapeutic need, treating troubled children using a behavioural approach, and in engaging and working with clients in an intensive home-based model.

You'll also have knowledge of child development, disorders, and mental health disorders, as well as knowledge of the factors affecting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people, including issues of attachment, separation and loss, and you'll be able to respond to these.

So if you're looking for a new challenge and want to be part of an exciting journey to turn children's services around in Slough then come and join us.

In return, we can offer you:

  • Training and development opportunities
  • Agile working supported by technology
  • Flexible working policies
  • Friendly working environment and great colleagues.

Slough is one of the most diverse places in the country outside of London and a great place to live or work.

In fact it's the best place to live or work according to a survey by Glassdoor. Pleasant environments, above average salaries and a lower cost of living, mean an increased quality of life for employees.

We're also one of the most accessible places to be, nestled on the corner of the M25, M4 and M40, and less than 20 minutes by train to Central London.
