About the Post


The Directorate of Estates is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Compliance Adviser on a 3-day a week, permanent basis.

This is an exciting time for the Directorate where you will be part of a successful team and support a new Health & Safety Strategy for the University of Suffolk.

Reporting directly to the Head of Health and safety, the Health & Safety Compliance Advise will support and shape the University's approach to safety management and ensure the wellbeing and safety of our staff, students, and visitors.

You will help implement our new Health & Safety Strategy for the University of Suffolk.

We are currently working to complete two more capital projects, and this follows the recently completed £13M refurbishment of our new Health and Wellbeing building.

About You


You will promote our approach to Health & Safety and further embed the Health & Safety culture within the workplace.


To provide support to the Head of Health & Safety and further embed the Health & Safety culture within the workplace You will be an experienced, customer focused and confident team player but also self-motivated.

You will bring experience as a health and safety coordinator and administrator within a property environment and will be able to demonstrate a proactive style who can support the delivery a compliant workplace.

You will have or are working towards an advanced understanding of relevant regulations in health and safety. You will be confident, personable, and diplomatic and have excellent interpersonal skills.
