Description
This Accounts Assistant position is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week).The role is offering a salary of up to £ 24,800 per annum dependent on experience and AAT qualification held.
As Accounts Assistant, you will work in a close knit team of 2 looking after rent collection and processing, book keeping and financial reporting, along with the following responsibilities:Create rent demands and other sales invoices on a monthly basis
Reconcile bank accounts
Monitor income and produce aged debtor reports to property agents
Bookkeeping for managed clients
Process approved supplier invoices onto accounting systems
Pay cheques into bank accounts
Raise cheques and preparing dual control BACS payments to suppliers
Complete payroll for estate employees
Prepare VAT returns (including Partial Exemption)
Prepare cash flow forecasts and reporting cash flow v actual
Prepare financial reports for land agents and clients
Prepare annual accounts information for accountants.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a similar Accounts role (Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator, Book Keeper)
AAT Qualified - Level 2 or 3
Experience form a lettings agency, or property management company will be advantageous
An understanding of VAT and VAT returns - essential
Payroll experience - desirable
MS Office - including Excel, Word and Outlook
Previous experience in using accounting packages (Sage) - advantageous
Knowledge of property management (Propman) software useful, however this can be trained
Excellent communication skills both in verbal and in writing
Ability to work to deadlines
Highly organised with the ability to multi task
