An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic practitioner to join the Swansea Bay Specialist Peri-natal Mental Health Service.

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT UNTIL MAY 2024 DUE TO MATERNITY COVER


This post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

The role will require the use excellent skills in the assessment and treatment of perinatal mental illness.

Carrying an identified caseload and providing assessment and treatment for service users under both parts 1 and 2 of Mental Health Measure Wales.


The role requires collaboration with a wide range of services and agencies to ensure the holistic needs of parents, infants and wider family group are met.

The role involves significant contribution to safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults.


Members of the perinatal mental health services are expected to access and engage with learning and development opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in the perinatal mental health specialism.
