Description
Butler Rose is delighted to be partnered with a Torbay business, who have a current requirement for Procurement Manager to join the organisation and deliver a strategic procurement service for future commercial development.
Duties include:
- Identify, optimise, and drive improvements in the Supply Chain process ensuring an integrated and joined up solution across the business
- Develop and improve supply chain KPIs and use them to monitor and drive performance
- Drive strategic supplier reviews and plan for supplier on boarding and exits
- Manage risk in the supply chain to support business objectives.
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities, develop and action strategies to maximise/reduce their impact on the business
- Manage materials savings & efficiency initiatives in line with overall business objectives.
- Maintenance and reviews of bill of materials leading to sourcing decision making
- Manage schedule adherence from external supply partners in line with business requirements
- Identify, qualify, and implement new and secondary sources of supply or alternative product ranges thus mitigating supply risk
- Resolution of supplier queries; liaison with relevant departments and timely response to suppliers
- Working closely with the quality manager, being responsibility for returned and rejected products to sustainable corrective action(s)
- Provide quotations in furtherance of spares revenue stream enquiries
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- High level MRP experience with strong IT skills
- Experience in negotiations, both adhoc and strategic
- Motivational team player able to engage and enthuse
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Experienced in developing partnerships with suppliers
- Demonstrable ability to drive cost down and improve commercial conditions with suppliers
- Good IT skills in Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel if required
- Team leader or management experience desirable
Package
- Salary up to £50,000
- Excellent benefits package
