Job Description:


To supervise the remanufacture and repair of Rockwell Automation products, ensuring that all items are repaired to the highest quality standard and within the expected timeframe whilst adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.


Duties and Responsibilities
The Workshop Supervisor is to provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the ERC repair staff and administrators.

  • Effectively ensure that repairs are conducted in a timely manner in line with customers' needs and expectations.
  • Manage WIP to prioritise customer repair orders on a first in first out basis, and to ensure that on time delivery and turnaround times are achieved.
  • Monitor and ensure that the workshop KPI's (backlog, output, warranty, utilisation and on time delivery) goals are met and reported monthly to the management team.
  • Escalate to the management team any significant delays or other potential problems likely to adversely impact the customer or department KPIs.
  • Ensure recovered hours monthly targets are achieved for all workshop and administration staff.
  • When required collate, edit, and then submit detailed fault reports for end customers.
  • To be the escalation route for repair staff for issues and problems encountered during the repair process.
  • To ensure repair staff and the workshop complies to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and the Rockwell Automation Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Product Safety manual.
  • To ensure good housekeeping standards are always applied and maintained.
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the manager from time to time in relation to the job holder's skills and abilities.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 35 years' experience in a similar supervisory role
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Olevel, CSE or GCSE (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Math's and English are required
  • ONC/HNC Electronics Engineering (or equivalent qualifications) is preferred.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred
