Who are we looking for?

OTC derivative expert to work within our Product Management team, bringing industry best practices in front-to-back workflows for OTC derivatives.

This role will be responsible for redesigning and delivering the trade capture and analytics components in anAgile manner in close collaboration with experienced engineers.

The right person will have experience in modelling complex financial instruments and will know the industry's best practices on how to price and risk manage them.


Why is this role important to us?

The team you will join is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), which became a part of State Street in 2018.

CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management andhedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, which was launched in 2019.

What will you be responsible for?
As SME on OTC Derivatives,

  • Good level of numeracy and an ability to understand and implement mathematical concepts.
  • Outstanding analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • A phenomenal understanding of financial products (securities, derivatives) and their valuation. A good understanding of risk measurement metrics like Value at Risk, collateral haircuts, margin period of risk and exposure at default calculations.
  • Outstanding programming experience in any of the languages e.g., F#, C#, C++, Python and experience in building models using these languages.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following asset classes: Rates, Credit, Equity, FX, and Commodities. Front to back from trade capture, execution, and life cycle events.
  • Lead and take responsibility for the crossfunctional success of all new products and solutions within the OTC and derivatives space.
  • Design, direct, and execute solutions to address the identified business problems and execute product launches of new products.
  • Influence the longterm roadmap and develop strategies that promote objectives for CRD's overthecounter market trading services.
  • Track and synthesize OTC industry and ecosystem competition and evolution, including shifts in technology, new business offerings, regulatory changes, developments in execution models and other overarching factors that may affect CRD's opportunities andcommercial models.
  • Assist in validating new market opportunities for CRD products and solutions.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:


  • Extensive commercial experience at an OTC platform, Derivatives Exchange, Trading firm or other relevant financial services company.
  • A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics, or equivalent level commercial experience.
