School welfare officer | SEN school | Enfield | ASAP Start
A well-known school based in the Arnos Grove are currently looking for a school welfare officer for an ASAP start.

- Working hours: 10:00am 2:30pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contributing first aid, health & wellbeing to students
- Promote appropriate health guidance, wellbeing advice and other supportive strategies to students as necessary
- Facilitate medical provision for students notwithstanding differences of race, gender and educational, social, or medical need
- To supervise sick and injured students, contacting parents as necessary and arranging hospitalisation or return home
- To lead, monitor and implement individual health care plans for appropriate students
- To administer medication, as agreed with parents and the academy health & safety policy
- To offer confidential advice to students on healthrelated matters.
- To act as advocate/counsellor for students who seek medical help and support or whose need for medical interventions are recognised by others
- To contribute, where relevant, to the compilation and updating of students' individual learning plans, action plans and targets
- To liaise with the health agencies, social workers, and other outside agencies, as directed by the multiagency team
This role is the perfect opportunity for someone who has had previous experience in an education or NHS environment, and has been involved with the administration of first aid etc.
