MYM Recruitment are excited to be working with our award winning Magherafelt client who is one of the longest established private trading groups in Northern Ireland and has developed a strong reputation as one of the leading lands, property, construction, and manufacturing specialists.

They wish to recruit a highly driven, hands on
Accounts Assistant who will be responsible for purchase payments and customer receipts, having direct contact with suppliers.


Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Purchase payments
  • ensuring supplies are paid correctly and on time
  • Reconciling supplier statements, inputting and allocating payment
  • Customer Receipts inputting and allocating customer receipts
  • Responding to and following up enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements
  • To communicate effectively, liaise and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service for customers and suppliers
  • Telephone duties
  • Attending training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Adhering to health and safety policy, and other company standards and requirements
  • Any other work deemed important to the Office Manager.

Essential Criteria:


  • At least 2 year's employment gained in an accounts role
  • Good educational attainment including min GCSE/equivalent Mathematics & English.
  • Excellent IT skills and working experience on a range of IT packages
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Methodical administrator
  • Confident telephone manner and ability to deal with suppliers and customers
  • Working experience on accounting software and range of IT packages
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage busy deadlines
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills
  • Strong commercial acumen

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From £22,000.00 per year
