Role Description
This vacancy is a factory-based on site role, to support our Windmill lane (Southall) Fresh Meals Business.

You will realize their full potential, by deploying and embedding our Operational Excellence framework and standards.

The role reports into our site-based Operational Excellence Coordinator (OEC) and this "OPEX" team will deliver collaborative improvements for the site, whilst demonstrating Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.

This role requires someone who is self-motivated and has a 'can do' attitude. You will have a good understanding of continuous process improvement and will have exemplary values and behaviours.


Key Accountabilities

  • Provide frontline support, coaching and rigor to our factory teams, to facilitate a Best Today, Better Tomorrow culture
  • Drive maturity against our established OPEX Standards
  • Actively identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate and drive reductions in waste
  • Drive delivery of opportunities to contribute to cost savings across all business areas
  • Maintain clear project plans and identify areas of risk
  • Drive efficiencies via Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and the use of knowledge, facts, and data
  • Provide "Gap-Up" focus and prioritisation to site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Completion of projects within defined timeframes
  • Deputise in the absence of the Operational Excellence Coordinator

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong analytical & problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Experience in Lean Manufacture / Continuous Improvement (important but not essential)
  • Experience in a FMCG Industry preferred but not essential
  • Dynamic, focussed and relentless attitude to improving systems of work
  • Ability to handle conflict in a positive manner, resilient and calm under pressure
  • Drives ownership and accountability to the lowest possible level of the site
  • Humble with a high degree of Emotional Intelligence
