Payroll Assistant
Edinburgh - Full Time - Permanent
The Role
The Payroll Assistant will report to the Payroll Manager and be part of a small but supportive Payroll Team within a wider Finance Team.
They will be involved in running end-to-end payroll for over 1300 staff, updating systems with any changed and resolvingany payroll related queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the Payroll ( Sage ) processing starters and leavers and any changes etc.
- We use a time and pay management system called Bizimply which we also maintain alongside the Payroll to allow all hours to be uploaded directly to Payroll each month
- Dealing with internal queries and questions from employees on payroll related matters
- Periodic and ad hoc reporting
- Ensuring systems/processes are constantly analysed and updated
- Adhoc duties
Skills and Experience
- Reliable
- High attention to detail
- Experience in Payroll is beneficial but not essential
- Have a good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong communication skills
