Description

The Role:
To support a lady who suffers with Functional Neurological Disorder, PoTS, M.E and fibromyalgia.

She also suffers with complex PTSD, and you will be required to support her with this in a compassionate and non-judgemental way.

She requires support to assist her with day-to-day activities, to fulfil a quiet, and stress-free life.


Main Duties

  • Accompany to hospital/doctors' appointments (you will be required to drive the individual)
  • Laundry, and changing the beds
  • General tidying and cleaning
  • Hoovering and mopping the floors
  • Assistance with adhoc food shopping (you may occasionally be required to do this alone)
  • Batch cooking required once a week
  • To support with her hobbies/interests

Ie:
support with gardening

  • General admin support

Personal Qualities and Attributes required:


  • Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
  • Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Good communication skills and social skills
  • Punctual, and flexible
  • Due to noise sensitivity a quieter individual would be preferred
  • Compassionate and gentle characteristics are preferred
  • Experience is desirable but not essential
*This role is a lone working position, and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role*Car owner with driving license and business insurance essential


Hours: 5 hours a week, to be worked from 9:30 - 12:00 over 2 days. Flexible on days, but preferred Mondays and Thursdays.
