Academy Scout (Professional) - Yorkshire

Who are we:
Everton, a pioneering and globally recognised football club, with a rich, successful history and an exciting future.

Founded in 1878, Everton is one of the 12 Founder Members of the Football League.

The Club has been crowned league champions on nine occasions, lifted the FA Cup five times and tasted European success by winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.

Everton's proud traditions are maintained by clear values and ambitious plans for the future.

The development of our new Everton Stadium on the banks of the River Mersey is well underway, providing a significant platform for further growth.

About the opportunity:
For decades, our Club has been one of the most respected and renowned in football.

Its vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for Everton's Men's First Team, or having a career in the professional game, remains as focused as ever.

We are now looking for an ambitious and motivated professional Academy Scout to cover the Yorkshire region; helping us identify and recruit the best players, in line with our Academy Recruitment Philosophy and Strategy.

Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:

  • Attending fixtures as and when required (sometimes at short notice)
  • Identifying and recommending players of interest for the Everton Academy
  • Providing full scouting reports using the relevant systems specified by the Club
  • Liaising with Regional Managers to submit reports to the Club's Academy Professional Recruitment Manager within specified timeframes
  • Notifying the relevant Regional Manager of any player(s) you consider worthy of further assessment
  • Making good contacts and forming relationships with clubs in your region

Who we are looking for:

Essentially, we are looking for someone who has an excellent track record in a similar role, with a Level 2 Talent ID qualification, as well as an understanding of scouting protocols and best practice.

You must have the ability to create full scouting reports using system specified by the Club.

If you feel you have the expertise we are looking for and would thrive off becoming an integral part of our casual workforce across our Academy, then we would love to hear from you
