Key Responsibilities

What will the role involve?

Reporting to the newsdesk you will identify, develop and write stories for the Mirror online with great pictures and engaging video
Demonstrating the highest level of reporting skills, initiative and sound judgement in a demanding newspaper environment
Delivering a fast turnaround on major news stories across the UK and around the world
Bringing in exclusive stories that set us apart from our rivals

This role includes weekend working, this will typically involve 1 weekend in every 3

Who are we looking for?
-
NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree and knowledge of media law:

Reporting experience at a national or major regional title
Passionate about delivering a wide range of engaging human interest and hard hitting news stories
You will understand what works for a digital audience and deliver content to prove this
You will relish the daily challenge of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
You will be social media savvy with current SEO knowledge. An understanding of tracking articles through analytics is preferred
