£25,000 + Benefits (on-call & overtime)

Standard work times:
Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week


Job Specification:
**ROLE
**We are assisting a successful company who are searching for a field-based Deployment Engineer who will be responsible for ordering, delivering and installing IT equipment for different sites in and around Sussex.


This is a customer-focused Deployment Engineer role which involves equipment repair (laptops & desktops), supporting users, managing deliveries and providing induction's of desktop equipment to end users.

Full training will be provided, along with access to industry-leading IT certifications.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage user requests and deliver equipment in a timely and professional manner
  • Providing users with comprehensive site induction's and basic training for desktop equipment
  • Provide hardware support on the laptop & desktop estate including repairs and deliveries.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on faulty equipment and liaise with 3rd parties where needed
  • Delivering equipment in the company vehicle & obtaining proof of delivery & stock control
  • Building laptops and desktops via SCCM
  • Asset and configuration checks and balances


  • Updating ITSM

  • FreshService tickets (incidents & service requests)
  • Create and update customer guides as required.
  • Ensure end user and support documentation is up to date
  • Maintain a customerfocused approach, delivering superb value to the customer base
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times, offering empathy and patience to the users
  • Take accountability and ownership for all assigned issues
  • Contribute to the continual service improvement culture
  • Ensure all ordertoinstall procedures are followed and process documents kept up to date
  • Adhere to strict SLAs

COMPETENCIES

  • Proactive approach to work, with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Full clean driving licence (manual)
  • Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
  • Basic networking and general fault diagnosis
  • A team player who is selfmotivated, enthusiastic, and keen to learn
  • Experience working in a Deployment Engineer / 1st line or 2nd Line Desktop Support / Field Engineer / Assets Engineer capacity is nice to have
  • Able to resolve technical issues in a Microsoft environment
  • Competent at fixing PC & Laptop hardware
