About the Employer


I need support to get my young daughter up and ready for school and if on occasion, my daughter refuses to go to school, if she is having a difficult morning, to stay with my daughter, keeping her safe, whilst I quickly complete the school run with her siblings.

Employer has a Friendly dog, cat, rat and fish.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
  • Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
  • Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
  • Other Duties include: To interact with my daughter to keep her calm and engaged and happy
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.


Required Skills:


  • Be honest, reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
  • To be able to work on own initiative.
  • To be able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Be patient, supportive and caring.
  • Have good listening skills and be able to provide nonjudgemental emotional support.
  • Be empathetic.
  • Previous experience in childcare/special needs is essential.
  • Be selfmotivated with a willingness to get involved.
  • Have a lively personality.

Other skills include:
To be friendly, loving, bubbly and charismatic as well as confident; to understand the importance of pre-empting issues and using de-escalation techniques to avoid upset but be able to be firm should negative behaviours escalate

  • Tuesday, 7.00am 8.00am
  • Wednesday, 7.00am 8.00am
  • Thursday, 7.00am 8.00am
  • Friday, 7.00am 8.00am

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 5 per week


Salary:
£10.42 per hour
