£38,296 to £41,496 (Pro rata for Part Time Posts) Pay award pending

1 x 37 hours per week

Permanent

Based at Britannia House / Hybrid working

An opportunity has arisen within the Built Environment for a Works Officer in the Projects and Planned Team to work within the Council's corporate buildings across the Bradford District.

You will be responsible for managing projects with a value of up to £7 million to over 1200 active Authority buildings.

Ensuring works are carried out to the highest possible standards consistent with the contract specification and conditions.

You will be ultimately responsible for managing construction sites from concept to completion and ensuring safe working practices for all persons on site which includes Operatives, Surveyors and other Professionals, while also adhering to Council Policies, Statutory Regulations and Standing Orders.

You will also be responsible for directly managing up to 15 mixed trade operatives.

The post will carry "Casual Car" user status and access to a car for business use is required.

You will have:

Extensive knowledge of current UK Legislations and be able to advise on changes in legislations ensuring that projects are delivered under approved codes of practice.
Experience in a Building Maintenance/Management related post.
Technical and operational knowledge in Health and Safety.
Good IT skills.
