As a leading provider of wireless down-hole valve systems, our understanding of this technology plays a major part in our success.

As part of our ongoing development of our down-hole valves the Mechanical Engineering department are looking for a driven MechanicalEngineer to join our team to design and develop downhole valve systems as part of a project team.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians the primary focus of the role will be on the development and maintenance of our extensive valve systems and develop new innovative product lines.


Principal Duties

  • The Mechanical Engineer will be required to:
  • Design of mechanical components and systems.
  • Stress analysis calculations.
  • Generate CAD models and drawings (layouts, assemblies, detail, client etc).
  • Generate engineering documentation (procedures, reports etc.).
  • Check engineering documents.
  • Perform test build & prototype testing of new equipment.
  • Advise on ordering of equipment for new tools and development work.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Support internal and external customers on technical queries.
  • Maintain design files & related documentation.
  • Support operations by working at client sites (onshore and offshore).
  • Mentor other staff.

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Science
  • 46 years' experience in the design and development
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with mechanical components.
  • Stress analysis calculation skills.
