Senior Planning Officer - Wirral Council

We are looking for
Senior Planning Officer will be based at:

We are currently working with Senior Planning Council to help recruit for a Senior Planning Officer,

  • To assist in the implementation of various planning policies and programmes/initiatives.
  • Liaison with officers of other departments of the Council, other local authorities and outside organisations/bodies.
  • To prepare evidence for planning appeals and attendance, where appropriate, at public enquiries and informal hearings to present the Council's case.
  • Providing supervision, guidance and assistance in the training, mentoring and development of junior members of staff.
  • Assisting the Development Control Manager with the promotion of Development Control to the customer and public at large.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives and new technology, as required.
  • Attendance, where appropriate, at inter-Authority meetings.
  • To adhere to all Council policy.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Director of Technical Services in achieving a committed improvement in service delivery and quality outcomes.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Director of Technical Services which are appropriate to the grade and character of the post.

£45.00-£56.00 per hour

Royal Town Planning Institute: 2 years (required)
