A1 Jobs are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team.

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials in our warehouse.

This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials within the warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks

Skills:


  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
  • Ability to perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor issues with forklifts
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
  • Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification

Must have reach and counterbalance ticket

Pay:
£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
