As a Barclays Technical Analyst, you will work in the Reference Data team who are responsible for client data within the bank on a cross-asset basis.

Our team implements strategic change, future architectural planning, development and maintenance of strategicrepositories which are both in-house and vendor supplied.

The repositories source, validate and distribute reference data to all systems in the firm. The We are undergoing significant change there are a number of high profile project initiatives you can getinvolved with

What will you be doing?:


  • Building, managing and prioritising feature teams backlogs, and working collaboratively with other feature teams aligned to specific reference data domains, Legal Entity, Accounts, SSI's & Books
  • Driving technical deliverables for the team, ensuring quality of delivery and liaising with business Architecture, Engineering, Programmes, Operations and IT users at all levels
  • Carrying out data mapping activities and gathering business requirements to define and detail data gaps, data requirements, data distribution methods, document process and data maps
  • Providing input into the technical design process to ensure the design satisfies the business requirements and owning & maintaining Data Entity standards
  • Defining, leading and presenting key design requirements or changes to other/central design authorities across Barclays
  • Building, communicating and resolving challenges, issues, and risks solutions for snior management
  • Ensuring and supporting project governance in following change life cycle, milestone management and RAID logs
Contributing to the overall long-term strategy of the Reference Data team and its architecture and infrastructure


What we're looking for:


  • Proven Investment Banking and Client Reference Data knowledge in Trade Settlements and Settlement instruction and knowledge of client data and processes KYC (knowyourclient)
  • Handson business and functional analysis skills and ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements for technical usage
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a global team environment in UK, US and APAC

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • You will ideally have UML
  • Intermediate and Visio
  • Advanced
  • Other knowledgeable skills include SQL
  • Intermediate,.Net XMLand MS Access
  • MS Excel / Word/ PowerPoint
  • Advanced
  • Confluence and Sharepoint
