Gi Group are working with the FM services, and we have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Painter and decorator to join their Nottingham Team

The role is to support the NHS to deliver commercial building maintenance, responding to reactive painting and decorating requests as required ensuring the buildings are maintained and fit for purpose.

You will be part of the Maintenance Mobile Operations Team and Delivering services across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire.

Main responsibilities of the Painter and Decorator

  • To be the customer focussed point of contact for the Estates and Facilities services
  • Play a key role in the delivery of the Estates Local services painting and decorating programme and reactive painting repairs as instructed by the helpdesk / or line manager
  • Undertake Technical tasks according to training and ability
  • To conduct basic evaluations and prepare minor reports on the conditions of the décor

Skills and Attributes

  • IT skills, use of mobile devices used in conjunction with the delivery of Estates maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes of practice applicable to Estates maintenance in a healthcare setting.
  • A good understanding of customer care.

Essential qualifications:


  • City and Guilds or equivalent (Level 2 Minimum) in Painting and Decorating
  • Health and safety knowledge
  • Commercial experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
