The Ultrasound Department at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital has a vacancy for a Assistant to join their busy and friendly Team


Ultrasound provides a wide range of investigations, including General Abdominal, Gynaecological, Obstetric, General Abdominal, Neonatal Hips, Musculoskeletal, Stroke, DVT and Interventional Procedures.

The role will involve working within a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality patient care during imaging investigations.

The duties of this post include supporting Sonographers, Radiologists and Nurses and undertaking some clerical duties, while rotating through all areas of the Ultrasound department.


If you have excellent communication skills, a pleasant manner, computer literacy with experience of patient databases then we would love to meet you You should have a desire to expand beyond your current experiences and be willing to meet new challenges with our support.

Previous clinical experience in a Ultrasound healthcare setting is useful but not essential.

You will need to be flexible in their approach to work. The core operating hours of the department are 7.30am-17.30pm Monday - Sunday across Maidstone and Pembury Hospital.

You will be required to work different days within the core hours and there will also be a requirement to work some weekends.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.


The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust's core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs.

We work from two main clinical sites:
Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.


We employ over 6,500 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
