We are looking for a Technical Operative, Exhibitions, to join our Technical Services team in line with our vision of becoming the
Best Event Campus in Europe.


Our Technical Services team work closely together in a busy environment, ensuring that all expectations are exceeded by providing the highest quality service to each event.

The Technical Operative, Exhibitions will be provide several key functions, helping to ensure exceptional event delivery across our campus


Responsibilities include:


Monitoring of event load in, build and breakdown periods, ensuring compliance with technical standards, health and safety regulations and SEC protocols from all stakeholders.

Representing SEC in on-site interactions with clients and contractors.


Being a point of escalation for event exhibition organisers, ensuring event builds comply with legislation, technical standards and codes of practice.


Actively engage in the installation and removal of draping, staging, seating and other technical equipment setup and de-rig duties for events all of the above needs a good level of physical fitness.


Proactively identify work-related hazards, ensuring that risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work are in place and followed for all activities.


Desirable, but not essential attributes include experience of working within busy environments in a technical capacity, monitoring the work of third-party contractors, competent in the operation of MEWPs and forklifts.
