The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, Faculty Administration Team, is looking for a dedicated Faculty Support Officer to join their team. The role involves providing essential support across various activities within the Faculty.

  • Must be motivated, well-organized, attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and an interest in research support administration

This position plays a key role in supporting research and innovation in areas such as Health, Care and Well-being, Applied Psychology, Sport and Exercise, Criminology, Policing, and International Security.

Working closely with the Faculty Associate Dean for Research & Innovation and Research Group Leads, the chosen candidate will assist in implementing the USW/ RIG research strategy. This includes managing research data, funding, innovation, and the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

Responsibilities also involve providing support for various committees, meetings, and events, maintaining accurate records on spreadsheets and databases, and collaborating with colleagues within the Faculty and at a University level.

The focus will be on supporting research funding, innovation, and commercial activities, monitoring outputs in the University repository, and contributing to research impact and commercial activities. The role also requires assistance in organizing research and innovation events and activities.
