Main Purpose of Job


To carry out all aspects of the cleaning operation in accordance with the pre-determined specification requested by the client and directed by the Supervisor, to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.


Duties

Personal organisation

  • Arrive for work punctually and follow signing/clocking in procedures
  • Always Wear correct uniform when at work
  • Ensure that all work allocated is carried out as per training received and within time constraints given
  • Ensure that safe methods of work are adhered to throughout the cleaning process
  • Assist colleagues when and where necessary
  • Ensure all Health and Safety Regulations are always followed

Equipment

  • All electrical equipment must be checked before use, if faulty report immediately to your Supervisor and do not use
  • Ensure that you use all equipment correctly, that equipment is cleaned when finished with and taken back to the storeroom
  • Ensure all cloths and mops are washed and stored correctly.
  • Ensure dust mop heads are cleaned after use
  • Do not operate any machine you have not been trained on

Products

  • Ensure chemicals are stored correctly in original containers
  • Use correct dilution rates for each chemical according to the label
  • Use the right chemical for each task
  • Ensure COSHH regulations are always followed
  • Wear the rubber gloves provided and any other personal protective wear as instructed by your supervisor

Miscellaneous

  • Carry out any other reasonable and practical instruction by your supervisor
