Java Developer for Fixed Income Rates and Credit Trading Desk


Responsibilities:


  • Refactor and enhance existing components and solutions
  • Manage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders
  • Elicit key information from business stakeholders, transforming these into concise IT requirements
  • Collaborate with other global IT teams
  • Assist production operations team in rollout and production support

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Java experience
  • Expertlevel knowledge of ION Trading / ION MarketView Platform
  • Good understanding of lowlatency, multithreaded code
  • Sound knowledge of objectoriented programming and design patterns. Exposure to functional programming is highly desirable
  • Experience of working in agile teams

Desirable qualifications:

  • Good understanding of bond pricing, ideally with PXE
  • Solid understanding of Rates and Credit bonds and derivatives
  • Detailed understanding of the nuances of trading venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb
  • Experience in automated testing and continuous integration
  • Experience of Python, Perl and other scripting languages
  • Experience of Kafka
