The objective of the
Scheduling & Delivery Operational Performance Specialist is to own on day delivery of strategic and tactical plans acting as the representation for Workforce Planning & Optimisation.
Your main responsibility is to work alongside our front-line Workforce Planning & Optimisation teams under a new End to End structure and model, ensuring all reactive and planned work created by Severn Trent and its partners is delivered within service level agreements (SLA's) and within customer promise balancing operational priorities and demands.
You will use real time metrics to drive our operational performance to a high standard, effectively modelling planning & scheduling processes, operational playbooks, best practise, and safer better faster methodology.
The
Scheduling & Delivery Operational Performance Specialist will act as Operational Lead and oversee the schedule for your area by coaching and training existing and new staff on process and performance requirements of the role, while acting as the first stage of escalation for all operational needs, ensuring our teams are effective and delivering a service to a high standard.
As an escalation point and Lead, you will effectively work alongside the Team Lead to optimise and influence on day resources office and field and represent Workforce Planning & Optimisation on incident management for Planning & Scheduling.
You will be constantly innovating and providing expert knowledge to ensure that you are monitoring and managing risk throughout the day with a willingness to jump in and support performance, ensuring our teams are meeting the standard required to deliver operational excellence.
You must support our teams to make complex decisions, resolve any blockers that may prevent work from being completed and ensuring field resources arrive to jobs within the specified times.
You will have evidence of previous scheduling and planning to field based teams or interaction within the Planning & Scheduling end to end process.
Experience in either a Water or Wastewater industry is necessary, including tactical thinking with sustainable solutions.
You will have an excellent analytical ability and proven experience identifying performance trends to make recommendations for improvements.
You will have a proactive outlook to the receipt and provision of feedback utilising all opportunities to enhance service outputs.
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills while role modelling behaviours is essential alongside the knowledge and understanding of our Severn Trent ODI's, Planning and Scheduling metrics and KPI's and field operational objectives.
You will work alongside our Regional Team Leads, Reporting and Demand Capacity, and Insight teams, using data to performance manage and drive operational performance excellence.
Utilising a variety of data insight ensuring on day SLA adherence is tracked and achieved implementing real time mitigation activity.
You will know how to bridge and collaborate with our alliance stakeholders to ensure everyone involved in the Planning, Scheduling and Delivery process delivers a seamless service ensuring you support and resolve any issues that arise.
Working alongside the Regional Team Leads you will ensure the day to day and short-term strategy is implemented to enable a successful outcome.
Driving dynamic response within SLA with strategical timely planning that is sustainable and future leading rather than knee jerk reaction.
You will be passionate and motivated to assist in the STW overall goal of becoming the number one water company for customer service and operational performance.
